What is a cookie?

A cookie is a text file that the website you are visiting requests to be saved on your device (NOTE! with device computer, tablet and smartphone unless otherwise stated). The cookie makes it possible to identify you as a visitor to a website. The information contained in the cookie can then be used to track your browsing on websites that use the same type of cookie and thus, for example, offers displayed can be customised according to your previous searches.

There are two different types of cookies:

  1. The type that is more persistent and saves a text file for a longer time on your device. These cookies have a fixed expiry date and are used, for example, for functions that tell you what's new since you last visited the website in question. Once the expiry date of the current cookie has passed, it is immediately deleted from your device when you revisit the website that placed the cookie on your device.
  2. The type of cookie that is more short-lived (so-called session cookies) and is temporarily stored in your communication device during the time you visit a website. These cookies are used, for example, to keep track of the language you have chosen for the current website and disappear as soon as you close your browser.

Cookies & similar technologies

We at IVA Conference Centre use cookies and similar technologies (collectively referred to as "cookies") on our website and in our services to improve your experience with us while customising our services and communications. Below we explain in more detail how we use cookies and what choices you can make about them.

Some of the cookies we use include the collection of personal data, such as your IP address and device information. For more information on how we process your personal data, please see our privacy policy.

We use cookies to make our pages and services easier to use and to customise our pages and services according to your interests and needs. By keeping track of what you have previously shown interest in, we can show you relevant information that hopefully suits your preferences. The website will simply be easier to use.

To further develop our digital services, we also use cookies to evaluate search and user behaviour inside and outside our website. The purpose is to optimise the user experience, individualise marketing and keep statistics.

*We never disclose any personally identifiable information from cookie usage to a third party.

Information about cookies on www.ivakonferens.se

www.ivakonferens.se uses cookies, pixels and similar tracking technologies that provide us with information about your device and store that information on your device. We at www.ivakonferens.se are responsible for the use of cookies on our website and in our newsletters.

What types of cookies do we use and for what purposes?

We use both long-term and short-term cookies. The main purpose of our use of cookies is to facilitate the analysis of traffic on our website and to improve our customer service.

Necessary cookies

Necessary cookies are needed for us to provide our basic services such as chatting with us. So you will not be able to access all the features of our website if you choose to disable these cookies.

Functional cookies

Functional cookies are needed for certain features of our site to work, such as displaying images in optimal mode on the device you are using. If you do not accept these cookies, you will not be able to utilise the full functionality offered by our site.

Analytics & personalisation cookies

Analysis & customisation cookies are used, for example, to develop our website so that we can continuously improve the user experience. Such cookies allow us to both offer you products and services based on your purchase and behaviour on the site, as well as remember what you put in the shopping cart. If you opt out of these cookies, you may, for example, miss out on relevant product recommendations.

Marketing cookies

Marketing cookies are not set by us but by our partners. These allow you to share and like content on the site. They also allow us to target relevant marketing to you. If you opt out of these cookies, you will receive more general adverts that are not tailored to you.

Through our cookies, we also store information such as which pages of our website you have visited. We do this in order to be able to customise our offers and advertisements on our website according to what you are interested in. We use Google Analytics, a web-based analytics tool provided by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. In addition, Google may personalise the advertising you see based on information about your previous browsing. The information stored in the cookies used by Google tools (such as IP addresses) is transmitted to, and stored on, Google servers located around the world. As a result, the information may be processed on a server located in a country other than where you live. Google may also transfer this information to a third party where required to do so by law, or where such third party processes the information on Google's behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other information held by Google.
