Gathering after the funeral to reminisce and eat something together is often a nice way to end the day. It provides an opportunity to talk, share memories and socialise in peace and quiet. There are no rules about what a memorial service should look like.
The most natural thing is to organise it in a way that suits the deceased. If there is something written down in the form of wishes, these should be followed. You can choose to
- read poems
- sing
- give a speech
- show pictures from the life of the deceased.
We create a peaceful atmosphere in beautiful premises
Our beautiful and bright rooms create a beautiful setting for memorial services. The large banqueting hall in white and gold for larger parties up to 175 guests, or a couple of the banqueting hall salons to gather the immediate family. The room has a sound system with four microphones for speeches. You will also have access to a large screen on a stand to show a slide show if desired.
We set the table at round tables with room for 8 guests at each table. The table setting includes
- linen cloths
- linen napkins
- candle lanterns
- flowers.
It can also be nice to have a memorial table where you put up photographs and decorate with flowers.
It is also possible to have a standing mingle where food is served from buffets. Depending on the occasion, it can sometimes feel lighter and the premises can accommodate as many as 220 guests.
Food from the Grodan restaurant
All the good food comes from our partner restaurant Grodan, located in the same building. There are many different menu suggestions to choose from and you can of course have wishes. The menus are set according to the season and for cakes and pastries we have a skilled pastry chef.
Nearby churches & funeral parlours
The churches located in our immediate vicinity are Hedvig Eleonora Church, Gustav Adolf Church and Oscar Church, and we work closely with the funeral homes in Östermalm and the surrounding area.
